This theme runs through the video presentation made for the Mapping Festival: will the year 2051 be the year of decline, of sobriety, of a return to older technologies, possibly of a retro style? Or on the contrary futuristic, ultra technological and full of surprises? Or just a combination of these two trends.

An interactive installation made by Sha22 in their Geneva gallery for the Mapping Festival. It was designed by Alisha Henry, Boris Rabusseau and David Hodgetts. It allows the viewer to locate himself in 2051 and enter into visual communication with the fauna of the mid-2021s: the symbolized animals would therefore have disappeared. Only virtual traces remain, like a distant memory of the long extinct Dodo species.
